Last night, we pulled off something special. The first-ever TechSEO North event took place at the Burgess Foundation in Manchester, and it was an incredible night from start to finish.
When Nikki and I first started talking about this, we knew there was a gap. There wasn’t a technical SEO-focused community in the North, at least not one that regularly brought people together in person. So, we set out to change that, and last night proved why this was needed.
We had a packed venue, great conversations, brilliant talks, and plenty of drinks and pizza to keep everyone going. More than that, the event was about people actually getting together, sharing knowledge, and building real connections. Not just over LinkedIn, but in person. That’s exactly what we wanted.
On the night, everything ran smoothly. In fact, we were slightly ahead of schedule with timings, which meant people had even more time to chat and network between talks. The venue manager even praised how professionally organised it was and said she couldn’t believe this was our first time putting on an event like this.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many people.
First, a massive thank you to our speakers for delivering an evening of top-class technical SEO insights.

Each of them brought something different to the table, and the feedback on Social Media has been brilliant. If you missed it, you missed out.
A huge thank you to our sponsors, Bring Digital and Screaming Frog. Without them, this event wouldn’t have been possible. Their support helped us create something that felt like a proper community event, not just another meetup.
And finally, a massive thanks to everyone who attended. The energy in the room was amazing. Whether you were chatting SEO over a beer, catching up with old friends, or meeting new people, it was exactly the kind of collaborative, open community we hoped to build.
The Burgess Foundation was an incredible venue, and their team was brilliant throughout the night. Drinks were flowing, the pizzas were on point, and everything ran smoothly.
So, what’s next? We’re not stopping here. This was just the start.
TechSEO North is heading to Leeds this summer, and from there, who knows. The plan has always been to make this bigger than just one city, and last night proved there’s a real demand for that.
If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry. There will be plenty more chances. Keep an eye out on our LinkedIn page for our next event announcement soon.
To everyone who made TechSEO North’s first event a success, thank you. See you at the next one.
