At the end of January, I was on the SpaceBar Podcast with Pete Robertshaw to talk about technical SEO and how AI is changing search. I spend most of my time solving problems, running audits, and keeping up with Google’s changes, so sitting down for a proper conversation about it was a refreshing change. I really enjoyed it.
Pete and I covered a lot. We talked about how SEO has evolved, why strong technical foundations matter, and the risks of relying too much on paid media. We got into headless CMS builds, common migration mistakes, and how AI is forcing SEOs to adapt. It was a proper deep dive, and I could have kept going for hours.
I don’t get to have these kinds of conversations often. Most of my time is spent in the details, so it was good to step back and look at the bigger picture. It made me realise how much I enjoy talking about this stuff, and I want to do more of it.
If you’re interested in technical SEO and AI, give it a listen. And if you run a podcast and want to chat, let me know. I’d be up for more of this.
