Calling All Post2Host Veterans – Let’s Reconnect & Record the Real Story

I’m DJB, founder of Stonerocket. If you ran a Post2Host (P2H) service between 2004 and 2012 (and beyond), I want to hear from you.

Back in the day, Post2Host was more than just a way to get free hosting. It was a grind. Managing communities, battling abusers, moderating forums, dealing with server meltdowns, and somehow keeping everything running on razor-thin margins. It was chaotic, exciting, and, for a time, a genuine alternative to paid hosting.

I’m putting together a recorded session for both video and audio, planned for summer 2025. This will be a mix of a roundtable, podcast, and history lesson to reconnect with the site owners, admins, and moderators who built this niche. This isn’t just a nostalgia trip. It’s about capturing the real story behind Post2Host. The good, the bad, and the ridiculous.

If you were involved in running a P2H service, let’s talk:

  • What was it really like running a Post2Host service?
  • The legendary users, the best communities, and the chaos behind the scenes
  • How we handled server costs, fraud, and rogue moderators
  • What eventually led to the decline of P2H as a model
  • Could it ever work again in today’s internet landscape?

The session will be recorded and shared across YouTube, podcast platforms, and social media. This will be a real archive of the Post2Host era, told by the people who lived it.

If you were part of this scene, get in touchDM me on LinkedIN, or email me. Let’s make this happen.
