What is spbot?
spbot is the web crawler for SEOProfiler and its free tool OpenLinkProfiler. The bot crawls web pages to discover and catalog backlinks, powering the backlink analysis features of both platforms. OpenLinkProfiler provides a free backlink checker service, while SEOProfiler offers comprehensive paid SEO tools. The bot respects robots.txt directives.

How to Control spbot
Block Completely
To prevent spbot from accessing your entire website, add this to your robots.txt file:
# Block spbot
User-agent: spbot
Disallow: /
Block Specific Directories
To restrict access to certain parts of your site while allowing others:
User-agent: spbot
Disallow: /admin/
Disallow: /private/
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /public/
Set Crawl Delay
To slow down the crawl rate (note: not all bots respect this directive):
User-agent: spbot
Crawl-delay: 10
