Shopify Product Feed Viewer & Exporter

Shopify Product Feed Viewer & Exporter is a Chrome extension that lets you view and export the full product feed from any Shopify collection page in structured formats: JSON, CSV, and XLSX.
It’s designed for SEOs, developers, and store owners who need fast access to product data directly in the browser.

Installation Guide​

Option 1: From the Chrome Web Store ​

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store listing: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/shopify-product-feed-view/lbelgjiabdbfkaohcignnegcbkalhcon
2. Click Add to Chrome and confirm the installation.

Option 2: Manual Installation (Load Unpacked)​

Download the .zip version from here on my website:

Step 1: Download the Extension ZIP​

• Download link: https://chrisleverseo.com/downloads/shopify-product-feed-viewer.zip
• Save the ZIP file to your computer and extract it.

Step 2: Load the Extension in Chrome​

1. Open Chrome.
2. Go to chrome://extensions/
3. Enable Developer mode (top right).
4. Click Load unpacked.
5. Select the unzipped folder you just extracted.

You’ll now see the extension icon in your browser toolbar.

How to Use It​

1. Go to a Shopify Collection Page​

Visit any live Shopify collection page. Examples:

• https://examplestore.com/collections/all
• https://examplestore.com/collections/sale

The extension will only activate on Shopify sites.

2. Click the Extension Icon​

When on a valid collection page:

• Click the Shopify Product Feed Viewer & Exporter icon in your browser.
• A popup will appear.

3. Choose Your Action​

Product Attribute Selection​

Choose what product feed attribute data to extract.

View JSON Feed​

Opens a new tab with a formatted, readable view of the full JSON feed.

Download Feed​

Choose to download the data in:

• .json (raw)
• .csv (spreadsheet)
• .xlsx (Excel)

All files are saved directly to your machine.

This Chrome extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data.

The extension operates entirely within the browser and only interacts with the currently active tab to retrieve product feed data from publicly available Shopify store endpoints (such as /collections/all/products.json).


What this extension does:

• Reads the current page URL to determine if it's a Shopify collection page.
• Makes a request to fetch the product JSON feed from that collection.
• Displays and optionally exports that feed (locally) in JSON, CSV, or XLSX formats.
• Stores optional user preferences (such as limit value) locally within your browser using Chrome's extension storage API.

What this extension does not do:

• It does not collect or send any data to external servers.
• It does not track browsing activity.
• It does not use or require any user account or login information.

This extension uses the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab to detect the current Shopify collection page.
• downloads to save files to your local machine.
• storage to remember user preferences locally.
• tabs to open the JSON feed in a new browser tab.
